Kerry and Quest Win Supreme Products Facebook Competition

Wednesday October 24, 2012

THE Supreme Products nationwide search to find an amateur showing enthusiast with the desire to reach the top is over!

With hundreds of entries through the Supreme Products Facebook page the decision was tough to say the least.

But there had to be a winner and that coveted title goes to Kerry Dawson and her three-year-old, coloured pony Quest.

The handsome 14hh, stallion was bought for Kerry by a close friend, and was just seven-months-old when he arrived near Christmas 2009.

Quest, otherwise known as Trebinshwm Casino in the ring, is a Welsh Section D, Arab and Traditional Gypsy Cob cross, and is shown by Kerry, currently studying for a degree in Three Dimensional Design, and her friend Lisa Godfrey.

Kerry is also busy bringing up her two children, as well as studying and underwent heart surgery in July this year so this exciting win has come at just the right time for her.

Said Kerry: “I couldn’t believe it when I was contacted to say I had won, it is just amazing.  To win a host of turnout preparation products from the Supreme Products Professional Collection and a Makeover Masterclass with Team Hollings is unbelievable.

“I am quite new to the showing world and will really benefit with help from Team Hollings when it comes to trimming, pulling manes and tails and plaiting.  It is still early days for us in our showing career and both the tips and advice, as well as the products will make a huge difference.

“I have used the Supreme Products range since I started showing Quest in hand as a yearling, so to go on and be their sponsored amateur home producer for 2013 is just like a dream come true.

“Over the years I have often stewarded in showing classes at shows, so to now have a horse I can show myself is brilliant.

“When Quest arrived he was very wild but with patience and perseverance he began to trust me and we have never looked back.

“We have competed both locally in the Lancashire area and also at some County shows and I have been delighted with the results with a lot of very positive comments from the judges.

“We are hoping he will finish growing at 14.2hh and under saddle will be shown in Coloured, Plaited and Trimmed classes.  We have started to break him and all is going well in preparation for the 2013 season, so there is a lot to look forward to.”

Added Sarah Turnbull of Supreme Products: “When we read Kerry’s nomination and saw the photographs, the entry just stood out and she is a true amateur in the sport who is really trying to make her mark.

“We are delighted to be supporting Kerry, she is new to showing and has so far mainly competed at local level, and hope this win will give her a real boost, helping her to progress to the next level.

“We very much look forward to supporting her throughout 2013.”
